The benefits of meditation and breathwork are endless. Most importantly right now, it has been shown to support the immune system. There are countless scientific studies extolling the positive impact of meditation on conditions including IBS, anxiety, heart disease and more, plus:

  • Focus
  • Stress
  • Sleep
  • Mood
  • Digestion
  • Weight Loss

The reality is that it can be a challenge for our 'always on brains' to relax. Our meditation courses combine breathwork, meditation and acupressure massage to help you switch off.

In Daoism we focus on the connection between the mind and the body. The relatively new scientific field of Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) studies the connection between our brains and our nervous, immune and endocrine systems. PNI is proving in Western terms what the Chinese have believed for thousands of years, namely that mind and body should be treated as a whole. Essentially, this is about engaging the power of the mind to heal the body. Meditation encourages the mind and body to work together as a whole.

Why is breath so important?

Chinese wisdom places huge importance on breath because it is one of the two major ways we create quality Qi (the other being food).

Why learn breathwork?

Our brain uses 20-25% of our oxygen supply as nourishment. But in today's world with pollution, air-conditioned environments and less exercise, we are just not getting what we need. Through breathwork, we not only restore our brain by giving it what it truly craves, but we also nourish our organs and helps you truly relax.
