Arron - Mastering the Water Element
Arron's Masterclass "Master the Water Element" gives an in-depth understanding of why this practice is so valuable as we transition into Winter. Drawing from the Five Animal practices Arron focuses on Snake play, a gentle yet powerful way to nurture our minds and bodies during this season. Snake play allows us to emulate the nature of Water, flowing effortlessly around the challenges life can bring us. "Master the Water Element" will deeply nourish you during the Winter season, restoring energy, instilling calmness and preparing you for the Spring.
Although Winter is certainly the time to rest more, to relax and allow our bodies that vital period of R&R, it is still important to continue with light, mindful self-care exercise so that we don't become too still and allow our depleted yang to "freeze" - we need to keep things moving, to keep our Water flowing.
Qigong, ideal for any time of the year and, indeed, any day of the year, has some particularly helpful moves specifically to support our Water element: our Kidneys and Bladder, which will inform the health of our bones, tissues, knees, even our ears! It will also allow us to recognise our inner wisdom – to understand that we always have the ability to go with the flow.
In Chinese wisdom the Snake represents the Water element and symbolises the flexible and flowing energy of Water. When Water meets an obstacle it will find a way to flow around it, gliding smoothly and subtly, with wisdom understanding and composure.
